Similar to crimp fittings, press fittings also attach PEX pipes to fittings securely. However, the structure of press fittings eliminates the need for an outer crimp ring. Instead, the fittings come with a sleeve that is inserted into the PEX pipe. Once the sleeve is in place, a press tool is used to squeeze the tubing tightly, locking it to the inserted sleeve. This makes for a simple and efficient installation process.

Both PEX tubing and PEX-AL-PEX tubing can be fitted with press fittings. However, it is important to note that these systems are exclusive to each manufacturer and can only be used with the manufacturer's own press tool.
