Check Valve

Description:

A check valve, also known as a one-way valve, is specifically designed to permit fluid flow in only one direction. These valves are equipped with two ports, one serving as the entry point for the fluid and the other as the exit point through which the fluid is discharged.

Check valves operate by utilizing a pressure differential, meaning that the pressure on the input side of the valve must be higher than the pressure on the output side in order for the valve to open. In instances where the pressure on the outlet side is greater or the pressure on the input side is insufficient, the valve will automatically close. The specific mechanism for closing the valve can vary depending on the type of valve. Unlike other valve types, check valves do not require a handle, lever, actuator, or human intervention to function correctly.
